    Meet the Chef

    After graduating from the Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago, Mark began his culinary career with the renowned catering company Wolfgang Puck in Chicago at the Museum of Contemporary Art.  There he learned the meaning of success, through teamwork, on a number of grand scale events.  From this Mark was selected to be part of Wolfgang Puck’s first foray into corporate dining and was Lead Chef for the Executive Dining rooms for Goldman Sachs at the Sears Tower.  As he began to hone his skill set and craft, Mark moved to Boston where he worked for one year under Chef Todd English at the original Olives restaurant in Charlestown, Massachusetts.  Mark then reconnected with his Chef mentor back in Chicago and had the opportunity to take a new position.   Shortly after this, Eurest Dining Services began managing the contract and Mark joined the team at the Hyatt Center.   A year later, Mark was promoted to Executive Chef, where he worked for 9 years before taking the opportunity in January 2013 to work at CNH international headquarters in Burr Ridge, Illinois.   Mark has since relocated to Minneapolis to join the team here at 3M.

    My story is not extraordinary, but my journey has been fantastic!  I started working in the food industry when I was 15 years old as the dishwasher for an Italian mom and pop place in NE Minneapolis.  I was not only responsible for cleaning and ensuring the safety of our guests, but I was also the official "sauce stirrer" which meant that whatever the situation, I was not to burn the sauce.  And I was good. 

    From there I went on to various restaurants, learned every position possible and held many titles, managed many teams.  I have successfully trained hundreds of people on many different levels and received awards for Leadership and Service Excellence. 

    In 2007 I joined Compass Group/Eurest because I wanted to be a part of the biggest food service company in the world.  Over the years I worked in several accounts and met many great, hard-working professionals.  Always something different every day, I have never been bored.

    People often ask me what I like most about my job.  Samples, of course… love to try what's trending.  I also enjoy helping people solve their lunch dilemmas and plan events.  Truth be told, some have called me their hero.

    My favorite thing about my job is seeing the end results.  Whether you are celebrating a birthday, planning a retirement party or business lunch, I will turn your vision into a remarkable and unforgettable experience.

    When not working, I enjoy music, gardening, fishing, football, and spending time with my family and two rescued cats.

    Meet the District Manager

    Aaron Kuns is the District Manager here at 3M.  Aaron has been in the culinary and hospitality industry for over 20 years.  During those years he has been in a variety of different positions that include catering chef, executive chef, director of food and beverage, operations manager, general manager and now he has the privilege of being 3M's district manager.  Aaron is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed to provide the best service possible.  Aaron calls Elk River his home, with his wife and their two boys.  During his downtime, he enjoys coaching his oldest son's baseball team and spending time with his family.  Aaron and his team of professionals are here to assist you with all your culinary needs.

    Meet the Experience Manager

    Molly Bray Yunek is a Registered Dietitian with a background in marketing and nutrition communications. She graduated from the College of Saint Benedict, where she received her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.  Molly's primary focus is to provide practical and credible nutrition resources to help individuals live a healthier lifestyle. Following the simple philosophy that good health and great flavor do go hand in hand, she loves spending time in the kitchen developing nutrient dense recipes with a twist.
