Did you know 40% of food gets wasted? When food is wasted it ends up in landfills where it produces methane, a powerful greenhouse gas that negatively effects our planet. By decreasing the amount of food that gets wasted we can make a more positive impact on the environment. Cooking root to stem, buying only what you need, storing food correctly, and getting creative with leftovers are all small ways to reduce the harm that food waste causes.
